In breaking the iPhone 1.1.1 chastity belt, today the iPhone Dev Team announced a free unlock method through the AnySIM software.
If you’ve been holding out on spending cash for the paid 1.1.1 unlock method, the iPhone Dev Team has your back. A few days ago, the Dev Team announced the impending release of a free unlock. Today, our favorite hackers announced its official release at the Hackint0sh forums.
Currently, the unlock software, AnySIM 1.1, is in a very raw state and is not recommended for those who have unlocked their iPhones with AnySIM 1.0. The team is working hard on a "re-virginizer" in order to get previously unlocked iPhones to a truly "stock" state.
Please note that this version works only on VIRGIN 1.0.2 or 1.1.1 phones. We are working on a re-virginizer. DO NOT USE IF YOU HAVE ALREADY UNLOCKED WITH ANYSIM 1.0
